Mark is a fully qualified teacher who has been running film and animation workshops and courses since 2003. Holding a current enhanced CRB check you can be sure that you are getting a valuable enhanced education expericence. We will bring a set of 6 laptops, all loaded with easy to use animation and film editing software, as well as 6 cameras and sets and models to animate. You can use your own if you have created them already. Have a look at our ani-mats for some ideas of models to create.
The storytelling workshop is designed to give students an idea about telling a story through film making in the animation genre. We have been running this popular workshop in schools and colleges across the country for the last six years. No prior experience in animation is needed. If you want more students to experience animation in a day why not consider our taster workshop?
The Course of a Typical Day
Introduction
We start the day with a short talk about animation and film making to all those involved in the sessions. We cover basic animation and film techniques.
Part 1
Students work in small groups to create a series of animation sequences using your pre-made models or ones we have brought along.
Part 2
Students learn a bit about editing films, adding audio and visual effects, before using these with the clips they have already filmed.
Conclusion
The day usually ends with a screening of the films that have been made during the day.
Post Visit
After the event we send a DVD containing all the work or transfer the files to your network.
If multiple copies of the DVD have been ordered, these may take a bit longer to arrive, depending on quantities.
